Then progressed in the U.S. Navy where Richard served four years before coming back home and completing degrees in Physical Education and Kinesiology at both DeAnza College and San Jose State University.

Individual Sports:
Wrestling, Track and Field, Bicycle Moto Cross Racing, Road Cycling, Inline Skating and his biggest love, Mountain Biking.  These are all individual sports, which help him test his own strength and will supporting an element of support and strength to offer his clients in their own individual challenges.

U.S. Navy:
Navy Medic. This time in his life showed him the importance of not only looking fit from the outside, but also being healthy inside! The medics, nurses, and doctors taught Richard the importance of preventitive medicine to ensure that individuals live healthy and happy lives. Training ethic was developed from Seal Team 5 both in San Diego and Guam.

DeAnza College and San Jose State University:
The education from both institutions have give
n Richard the scientific background to combine with his fitness experience to help clients achieve their fitness goals.

Even though Richard has a vast amount of experience in the fitness real, what matters most is the connection he has with each and every client.  Each are different with a variety of needs and goals.  To help a client achieve a 5k walk, weight loss of 30+ pounds  or a 24 hour Endurance race with excitement and momentum is one of Richard’s greatest joys as it’s all about the passion the client achieves during the journey of a healthy body.

“All the fitness education and experience in the world that a trainer has means nothing to a client, unless that trainer can share his/her knowledge and experience and passion to the client that translates into motivation for the client!”
